The YMCA depends upon volunteers to enrich our programs, facility, and youth experiences. Many youth groups find volunteering weekly or occasionally at the YMCA a great way to build camaraderie and fulfill needed community service hours. Volunteering brings purpose to oneself and the group as they contribute to the good of the community. Contact the YMCA for a work project that suits you or your group.
Common experiences have included: planting gardens, indoor maintenance projects (fitness center care, painting, window cleaning, etc.), outdoor clean up days (landscaping and camp set up), car washes that benefit our scholarship fund, projects with youth: carnivals, science fairs, and gardening initiatives. Also looking for readers in our childcare center for our literacy program.
