First Reformed Church will open its doors to shelter the homeless during the week, February 14 thru February 21st.
We invite you to be a part of our ministry by volunteering for one night. Here’s how a typical night goes:
– Volunteers arrive about 6:45 pm at First Reformed Church’s 9 Bayard Street office building.
– The shelter is opened at 7 pm.
– The volunteers for the night are expected to stay through the night, checking on the coffee pot and setting up the light breakfast by 6 am.
– Volunteers leave by 7 am
Volunteers may bring a sleeping bag and pillow, snacks, DVDs, books, puzzles, or even work!
