What We Do
The vision of Women Aware, Inc. is to provide the victims of domestic violence the same level of service regardless of economic income, race, age, sexual orientation, and gender, because all people deserve the same core services. Domestic Violence is a social justice issue and we are strongly committed to eradicating this social ill! Over 31 years ago, Women Aware, Inc. was founded on the belief that every human being has the right to live free from violence and the fear of violence. At present, Women Aware serves up to ten families in a nine bedroom, 24 bed facility. In addition, we now also provide a comprehensive continuum of care that improves the health and well being of the families who look to us for safety, strength and hope. In the process, we are changing lives.
