Palliative Support Volunteers to meet the special needs of terminally ill hospice patients. Volunteers provide companionship, respite, emotional and spiritual support for patients and families. Volunteers add a special dimension to Embracing HospiceCare?s work. With a warm smile, a tender touch, a listening ear, a heartfelt willingness to help you can make that difference. Palliative Support Volunteer must be 18 years of age or older.

Our organization is seeking someone who has professional writing skills and, if possible, has written grants before. We need someone who can capture our accomplishments and can write both grant narratives and help tell the story of what we do and how we do it, inspiring others to follow our example.

Our nonprofit farm is seeking loving and warm individuals to help care and interact with our rescued animals at the Triple C Ranch and Nature Center. We are looking for volunteers to help take care of animals and interact with them and provide love and support. Also some cleaning, feeding and watering may be required.

EWA is seeking volunteers to update our two blogs: Wildnewjersey.tv and newgreenmedia.tv. This would require posting articles and stories on each blog. Additionally, updates to all of our websites using Wordpress. his is a great way to help our community and the world get education and information out on a wide variety of environmental issues.

CASA of Middlesex County is actively seeking volunteers for our Fall 2013 Volunteer Training Class! According to the NJ Administrative Office of the Courts, nearly 10,000 children in New Jersey live in out-of-home placement. These children have been taken from their homes due to abuse and neglect. Many of them are trapped in the court and child welfare systems, spending their childhoods moving from one foster home to another. As a CASA volunteer, you will act as a fact-finder for the court and help objectively investigate every aspect of a child's life, including visitation and conducting interviews, in order to make sure he or she is receiving all the services that are needed. You will develop a court report to be sent to the court so that the judge can make the most informed decision for the best interest of the child. Options is the Adult Residential Services Program at Cerebral Palsy Association of Middlesex County. Volunteers are needed for home improvement projects including painting, window washing, yard work, shrub trimming and general maintenance.

Options is part of Cerebral Palsy Association of Middlesex County and has Adult Day Program locations in Piscataway, Port Reading and Toms River. Volunteers are needed to work with adult clients with developmental disabilities on special projects such as arts and crafts, games and field days.

The Lakeview School needs volunteers to work with children with disabilities. Activities include adaptive sports and games, arts and crafts, and helping with schoolwork.

The adult consumers at the Adult Training Center located in Edison love to participate in creative arts and crafts and hands-on projects. We are looking for a group of volunteers that wants to visit the program and guide the clients in a structured activity developed by our staff or by you with our staff's consent. Volunteers may arrive by 10 am and stay until 2 pm, although the times can be flexible. Come prepared for fun!!

Serve as a member in any of several committees including: Children & Adolescents; Concussion Committee; Council for the Head Injured Community; Finance Committee; Resource Development Committee; Fund Raising Committee; or Annual Seminar Committee. Some committees ask for qualifications to become a member (for instance to be a member of youth sports concussion committee must be aware of Return to Play).

Local Presenter Volunteer The Mobile Family Success Center of Middlesex County (MFSC) is a community based series of programs for support, information, and service in order to enrich the lives of children and adults by making families and neighborhoods stronger. Our Goal is to promote family well- being, link families to community services, empower and support families. As a "one-stop" shops that provide wrap-around resources and supports for families before they find themselves in crisis. We are community based and do our program in community centers, libraries, schools and other community locations serving the townships of North Brunswick, East Brunswick, Edison, Sayreville, and Woodbridge. We are currently looking for volunteers who are able to create informative workshops dealing with issues that families are struggling with. Some example topics: • How to create a budget and how to stick to your budget • Credit Cards: Using them wisely • Debt Management: Good Debt (student loans/mortgage) vs. Bad Debt (Credit Cards) • First time home buyers: What do I need to know • Resume Writing and Interview Skills • How do I "extreme coupon" to save money? • Stress Management •Yoga • Mommy and Me groups/breastfeeding groups These are examples of topics you can cover. Presentations should be about 45 minutes to an hour long and leave time for questions at the end. You may develop power point presentations or handouts for the program.

Office volunteer needed to help with administrative office tasks - days and hours are flexible - Whatever works for you will work for us ! Office is open Monday through Friday 8:30- 5 pm. Busy office, wonderful and very appreciative staff . High school students are welcome !
