Volunteer: Become a Child Advocate!CASA of Middlesex County is actively seeking volunteers for our Fall 2013 Volunteer Training Class! According to the NJ Administrative Office of the Courts, nearly 10,000 children in New Jersey live in out-of-home placement. These children have been taken from their homes due to abuse and neglect. Many of them are trapped in the court and child welfare systems, spending their childhoods moving from one foster home to another. As a CASA volunteer, you will act as a fact-finder for the court and help objectively investigate every aspect of a child's life, including visitation and conducting interviews, in order to make sure he or she is receiving all the services that are needed.
